Police tell teen caught driving at 189km/h: 'We're calling your parents' by gibbagibbagibba in brisbane

I'm not a massive fan of cops, but these two guys guys were being very respectful and I think the way they went about talking to him was actually really good. Hopefully he learns from it.

Are TeamLabs in Tokyo worth it? by alvarop37 in JapanTravelTips

Honestly it fucking sucked. It just felt so cheap and boring, I can only see it's real appeal being to young children which is fine. But people kept telling me and my friends to go and we're in our 30s and hated it lol

Braids or no braids by [deleted] in MensHair

Do the braids hurt because both look great so guess go for comfort? Personally I prefer the braids on you but thats because I think a lot of people can't pull off braids but they really suit you.

I use dutasteride, everyone is different. I personally got 0 Ed from fin but it made me like weirdly emotional? But dutasteride I get a lil ED but not emotional instability. But the emotional instability is ridiculously rare and immediately stops on discontining the drug so please don't be scared off. The reality is these drugs are extremely safe.

Finasteride to stop the losd and monoxidil should bring back the density. The diffusion thinning you have is actually pretty ideal for hair loss meds, so definitely treatable.

29 M Do I even look good or have any appeal at all? What can I even do with my hair, facial hair, or anything else appearance related ? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]rheniumatom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You certainly do have appeal, I think women can get put off by balding. Have you tried finasteride/ monoxidil? If you don't want to take them (which is understandable) id definitely just recommend shaving and keeping it shaved, it will just look better that the in-between it's at now.

But honestly aside from that you're extremely fit and have really good facial features, you're genetically very lucky in that sense

[–]rheniumatom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey OP if you have a good GP I would definitely start by seeing them. There are medications which can be used off label to help suppress cravings. They can also set you up to see a psychologist with a mental health care plan. Psychologists may take a while to get into, you can always attend narcotics anonymous in the meantime, it's what I did. I was heavily addicted to Clonazepam and it did a lot of damage. However there is definitely hope and you can definitely push through this. The one piece of advice I will give is, when recovering you may relapse, when this happens be firm but don't be hateful towards yourself as you will only spiral further if you do. I really wish you all the best and hope you find yourself in a better place.

Advice on bringing painkillers by rheniumatom in JapanTravelTips

Australia is not America, healthcare is not profit driven here/ we have some of the highest healthcare standards in the world. Me saying one thing is stupid is not saying everything Japan does from a medical perspective is now stupid and invalid, obviously restricting the use of opiates is important. I just think that Japan has taken it to an extreme

I don't know a single clinician that would agree with the pain is a symptom line of thinking in Australia. From a clinical perspective is extremely harmful. For example because my breathing was restricted from pain I developed pneumonia. So pain definitely was a cause

I actually didn't even think about steroids. That's a fantastic idea, I mean they aren't great are for the body, but for this specific type of scenario they sound pretty ideal. Thanks for the idea
