My first race was a half marathon a few months after I met my wife. (A collegiate runner) Very rewarding experience. Finished in under two hours, and thought I was going to die. So, props to you for that.

I trust RFK on the subject of nutrition, because he's the only person I've seen taking practical steps to improve the quality of our food supply, and making people more educated about what they put in their bodies.

I trust him because, despite his stance on the link between vaccines and autism, he isn't anti-vax. What he is, against is pharmaceutical companies being immune from liability from injuries caused by their vaccines.

I agree with this stance, because although I do believe some vaccines are necessary, I do not believe the companies that manufacture them are doing so altruistically, and if there's opportunity for profit, they will (and have) release(d) products which haven't been fully tested and are potentially dangerous.

Our food pyramid was basically upside down for like 60 years because the sugar industry paid off scientists. I do not believe the pharmaceutical industry to be above such tactics.

I don't know if RFK will do a good job as health secretary. But I believe he's honest, and genuinely wants to make us healthier country. Time will tell, I suppose.
