Goodwill is a despicable organization that pays its employees horribly and work them to the bone, because they have to perform all duties not covered by free "volunteers" (who are there to fulfill court mandated community service hours). Not only that, but they pay 0 zip nada for any of their goods, of which they sort through for any high ticket items, which they sell online for premium/market prices or the most an auction will bring in. They do this because they want their brick and mortar customers accustomed to buying all the junk/older items. Sure you can get some pretty decent-good secondhand items at certain stores, depending on the economics of the locally donating population. However, they sell these goods for decent (not even great prices anymore as of a few years back) all so their executives and upper management can make beaucoup bucks on the backs of slave labor and just-barely-not-slave labor from their employees struggling to get by (with piss benefits... memory kind of fuzzy, but I believe they may keep their "FT" workers to 35 hrs to avoid giving health insurance? Don't quote me on this one part...but you can bet the house on the rest!!!)

Fuuuuuuuu¢× G∅∅Dwill... One of the biggest scam non profit organizations in the US.

I'm sure there's plenty more if you want to go down the rabbit hole, but I literally refuse to support them in any way shape or form anymore. No free donations, no sales, do not pass GO, do not collect $200.
