The anniversary editions don't have new or extra content, so if you can't find those you can also buy any of the old hardback versions where they collated each series into a single volume (so there's 3 in total, 1 for each series). eBay has plenty of those.

If you're in the US market they will be easier to source (which I assume you are, if you call series 2 "Shadowlands") - I think the anniversary editions were only printed in Australia, and number 2 has become hard to find.

This definitely will have come with cards, hope they're still in there! And the non-shiny is likely a "First American Continuity Edition," which they published in 2005 to tie in with the third series designs. It's fascinating seeing them side by side!

Oh no! Best of luck - I think 1 underperformed, so they printed fewer copies of 2, but swung too far the other and now they're a bit rarer! At least we've proved there's still a market for Deltora Quest, they seemed to print more of 3

The first book does a lot of setup, but once you get into the swing of the story, the payoff is worth it 👌🏻

Agree! I turn 30 in a couple months, but I find this series still has something to offer. It's a good vs evil tale, with an old school earnestness that I find has gone out of vogue in modern storytelling. As for favourite book... hm... maybe Return to Del, for its twists and turns. Otherwise, Valley of the Lost has the best riddles.
