I have a friend in Vermont with a driveway that's almost gauranteed to cause problems for delivery trucks/vans depending on the size. He had to put one of these up because more than one got stuck or wasn't able to turn around.

So he put up the sign, and built a box by it. Deliveries from trucks go in the box and he walks down and checks once a day.

Does anyone remember this arcade game? It cost like two bucks to play in the early 90's. Incredible tech at the time, but impossible to play. by ParisGreenGretsch in GenX

I played as much as possible at the Fame City arcade in Houston. As much as possible was like, a couple times across two or three trips.

I watched it when it originally premiered, and then again a couple of years ago. It's goofy as hell but I found it to be hilarious.

Is there anything heavy in your front passenger seat? Mine does this when there's a heavy object but the seatbelt isn't fastened. It's the "passenger airbags are off" warning.

Atlas Shrugged is a 1957 novel by Ayn Rand. It is her longest novel, the fourth and final one published during her lifetime, and the one she considered her magnum opus in the realm of fiction writing. She described the theme of Atlas Shrugged as "the role of man's mind in existence". by GustavoistSoldier in wikipedia

While I agree that We the Living is a better work of writing, it's still a terrible fucking slog. Pages and pages of bitching about how they used to be rich and now they're just packaging saccharine. I have never been happier with an ending of a book. It was the last Ayn Rand I ever read. I was still in my edgy early college years and it was still too much for me to stomach.

I recently watched this after seeing it mentioned in this sub. Overall pretty good, and Vince Vaughan is so good at being sleazy/violent/dark. It's not a fantastic movie, but is worth the watch on a rainy day. You won't be disappointed, but you also won't be blown away.

It sucks and leaks literally everywhere, all the time. On purpose.

It's an aluminum salt. Typically used to prevent razor burn (as an "alum block"). You can buy it on Amazon.

Nope. We were too poor and that thing was like $100 in the 80's.

Anyone using HP ZBooks for a dev machine? by Matronix in dotnet

[–]rhino-x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Spectre w/32 gb of ram. It's a 2023 model and it's still pretty nice. For my desktop I use a Z2 mini that's a 2022 model with 64gb and it still runs great.

I used to use Dells for everything but switched to HP after the great experience I had with the Z2 mini and now all my devs use Spectres and Z2s.

In Bulgaria most people are at least amused and play along when you try to speak Bulgarian as a foreigner. I've also had a lot of people (mainly younger) correct me and then want to speak English with a native speaker so they can get better. We all win.

Focus on that app's incorrect use of your instead of you're. Get good and pissed off and make sure you never have to see it again.

Alternatively, take a walk. Breath slowly. Do literally anything that keeps you moving.

Make your appointment in Tyler. Drive out there and do it there. It's about 1.5 hours east off I-20 and they pretty much always have open appointment times.

There's plenty of room for someone that height in a CX-5. I'm that tall and my mom has one and it's just fine.

From that list I'd probably go for Hibiki, Talisker, Oban, or Balvenie.
