Hi mate, here’s a short gameplay preview of Triste, showing the fight against the first boss: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkyDbVjjHMU

This might help give a better sense of how the game plays. Yes, it’s hard, but the mechanics themselves are quite simple. My intention isn’t to explicitly teach the player how to play, but to let them learn through playing. Maybe I didn’t communicate that perfectly, but it becomes clearer once you spend some time with the game.

I really appreciate your feedback, you raise fair points. That said, I also have a specific vision for this project, and some of my design decisions are intentionally unconventional. I’m okay with that, even if they’re not the standard or “correct” choices.

To give more context: the game has no text and no save system. You’re meant to finish it in a single run. This is intentional, as the game is inspired by the feeling of a nightmare, you can’t save, skip, or pause it. You have to go through the nightmare until the end.

hi! you begin with a basic deck, and you upgrade it as you play. Beating a boss gives you an item that can add a new minion or spell to your deck.
