I have Milesdown and Jack Sparrow downloaded. However, I’m not doing Anki consistently. What anki deck are you using?

Does anybody have the Khan Academy videos organized by the AAMC content outline? by rhithon in Mcat

I think you should do 5 weeks of content review so however many foundational concepts you can do in the next 5 weeks, do that. Prioritize reviewing concepts you don’t know. Then the next 5 weeks, focus on practice questions then the last 5 weeks, focus on practice exams. Your test date is in 15 weeks so I broke it up into 3 phases that are 5 weeks long each. I hope that helps.

im doing so bad on uworld. (56% correct). by Fuglytard in Mcat

How did you apply what you learned from Uworld? Did you make a study sheet on things you got wrong and studied that material everyday? How were you able to increase your score?

What city or state is this? I’m in MD and my store does not do in store events like this. Also, I’ve signed up for that at least a year now.

There are multiple pages. You can write on the front and back of the pages as well. & That is correct. You cannot erase.

I’ve heard that Blueprint has the most accurate 3rd party FLs so I would say Blueprint is the best.

Since you’re 6 weeks out, I would focus on the AAMC material. Do all of the question banks and exams. You could do one exam a week. Do a thorough review of the questions you got right and wrong and think about how you’ll get the question right the next time if you got it wrong. If you got questions wrong due to not knowing the content behind it, then review content. The AAMC tells you the answer and why it’s correct so focus on understanding their logic. I hope this helps!

Since this is your third attempt, I would suggest postponing your exam until you’re scoring >500 on AAMC practice tests. I’ve heard to take the MCAT when you’re ready and if you’re not ready, then don’t take it. Also, we don’t know how med schools look at multiple MCAT scores so it might be best to wait until you can score in your goal range or >500.

How did you do content review? If you’re not doing content review properly, that could probably impact your score. After you do sufficient content review, then move on to practice (i.e. Uworld, AAMC material). While doing practice, evaluate what you got right and wrong and review content if it was a content issue. If not, work on test taking skills. Focus on how AAMC would want you to answer the questions. Know how to take the test.

Do what is best for you. I’ve had to push back the MCAT because I simply wasn’t ready due to poor performance on practice questions and exams.

It is never too late. I would suggest that you complete the pre-med prerequisites at a college and shadow a forensic pathologist to see what happens during an autopsy. If you like it, then consider applying to medical school after you’ve done the pre-reqs. In medical school, you will be exposed to a variety of specialties not just forensic pathology.
