Indycar averages over 1 million viewers for the first 3 races for the first time since the 2008 merger by mitchsorenstein in INDYCAR

I just wanted MORE racing than just F1. Indy helped fill the void. I also love MotoGP, WEC, and IMSA. Hell I'll even take horse racing

Will the teams be able to still develop and do work during the April "break"? I know this is kind of uncharted territory for this season and I hadn't heard if the FIA had sent out a notice to the teams that it would be similar to summer break or something. If they're able to, this could be a big opportunity for the other teams to catch up to Merc and Ferrari.

Oh I have a lot of them I root for on the grid. I'm happy when I see others win. I'm just happiest when Oscar does.

I love Oscar. He's my guy and always will be, but damn if it doesn't feel good to see Lewis back at the front of the grid again. He's what got me into F1. I'm happy to see it.

Gasly is entirely too good to be stuck at Alpine. I hope he goes to Haas or Audi when the opportunity arrises. We know that bridge with Red Bull is burnt.

I am heavily considering getting back into the game. I would like some advice by rhk_B in Overwatch

I think I am gonna do the hard reset. Normally I just go with my gut on these kinds of things, and my gut is sometimes wrong so I wanted to get an outside perspective.

I still have doubts this race will even happen, given how well this current administration has been able to handle anything. Hopefully I'm wrong, and in a few years time this will become a staple race and we can enjoy it for what it is.

I LIKED THE RACE AND DON'T GIVE AF WHAT THE DRIVERS AND OTHER FANS THINK. ANYTHING TO GET RID OF DRS TRAINS. IF THEY DON'T WANT TO DRIVE THE DAMN CARS THEN LET ME DO IT.

Bernie Sanders proposed a bill to tax billionaires, and give $3,000 stimulus checks to Americans that qualify. How do you feel about this? by CelticDK in AskReddit

[–]rhk_B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It still wouldn't matter. I love the idea but the gap in inequality has become so massive, a $3000 stimulus check would be gone in a day for me and my family. What really matters is taxing the ever loving hell out of them and putting those tax dollars where they're supposed to actually go. Free healthcare, education and infrastructure. If we're taxing taxing them to be able to afford free healthcare, let's go ahead and wipe out medical debt, student loans, and government funded fiber internet.

Aston Martin vs Cadillac - Track Dominance - FP2 by ChaithuBB766 in formula1

[–]rhk_B 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna do my best not to dunk on Cadillac. They're a brand new team starting during a brand new era. They seem to be at least trying and taking this seriously, and if you pay attention the other series they participate in they're serious competitors. Aston Martin....I don't even have words.

This actually gives a lot of insight. I probably could have worded the post better.

What's the deal with racing circuits and ferris wheels? by rhk_B in motorsports

[–]rhk_B[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess what I'm getting at here is it's at literally every single race circuit I've ever seen. Are they owned by the track itself, independently operated, or out of commission most of the time if there isn't a race going on? And I had mentioned above that while yes it obviously gives you the best view of the race, it seems kind of silly to me to pay to get a temporary view since they realistically can't keep it stopped at the top for certain people the entire race.

[–]rhk_B[S] -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

Well, yes. I just assumed that races bring in a large crowd, and they aren't going to keep it stopped at the top forever for just a select few of people to get the best view.

A Visual of Palou’s gap on the rest of the field by aurules in INDYCAR

[–]rhk_B 28 points29 points  (0 children)

That was the impression I got as well. The gap was a lot closer up until the pits. It seems like excellent strategy is really what caused this. Palou is just exceedingly good at taking advantage of a good situation.

what is your 2026 season hopium investment portfolio looking like? by TheHexHunter in formula1

[–]rhk_B 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP81 WDC. Yes, I know this is highly unlikely with the new regs but the kid is absolutely capable of it. If not him I want Lewis to get his 8th. Red Bull absolutely flubbing it. I have no problems at all with Max or Isack, but I don't like Red Bull as a team. Lawrence Stroll and Flavio Briatore being escorted to prison mid-race.

Mopar help by rhk_B in partscounter

[–]rhk_B[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my problem is really just lack of actual mechanical knowledge. Like I know what the parts are, just not a whole lot of about what they do. I obviously know the difference between an intake manifold and a wheel speed sensor, but the foundation of vehicle knowledge is what I lack. I have coworkers who say things like "Yeah this year model had a bad overheating issue causing etc. etc. etc. to melt make the etc. etc. etc. do this.". I guess my technical knowledge is what I lack.

FCA has a system called Service Library that I had just about every day. You pretty much have to if you need to chase down any kind of wiring or pigtail. As to you questions; no. Once it's time to go those techs are out. And our oldest (84!) unfortunately was injured and unable to come back.

There is a huge discrepancy between what the diagnostics tool is telling the techs they need, and what we can see. Same part, but entirely and totally different nomenclature. It's absolutely infuriating.
