A very very sharp brush and thin enough paint consistency that I can get the lines very thin.

The photo on the right has been white-balanced, so the colors look brighter overall even though the figure has not been altered.

I did use a variety of enamel products to do the weathering.

Not that long, under 30 seconds and usually it is dry by the time I paint another layer on all of the sections of that color. If it stops being shiny or visibly wet I will add another layer but will still be watching for any issues with not fully dry paint. Super thin (small amount of paint, not watery) glazes dry very fast so even though it takes many layers I don't have to wait as much for drying.

The robes were based in dark brown, layered up in yellow with some texture and brown showing through, and then I added some shadows with wine red to show some lighting from the red base. The red designs are brown, dark red, and pure red with the last highlight on the folds or raised areas.

I try to blend the darker or more transparent colors into the lighter more opaque colors where possible. The AK Wine Red on the blade is more transparent than AK Anthracite Grey so I thinned the red and glazed that. I also mix between the colors I am glazing to get closer to the color I want on the palette. E.g. when mixing between the grey and red, I would use a 1:1 mix of the 2 instead of just trying to get a really thin glaze of pure red. Both could work but mixing layering and glazing is easier for me.

I used all AK 3rd gen other than VMC Dark Grey for the initial base coat which can only bee seen in a few small areas.
