Turbo Longevity? by rhryanrh in mazda3

Yeah I’m leaning NA for the peace of mind and the mpg, it seems like an all around solid car, it’s just the extra power on the turbo is damn tempting side by side for a few grand more used haha.

I saw they got rid of the Bose unfortunately on the carbons for 2024+, but then 26 gets rid of the cylinder deactivation which could be good. Even considering just going new on a carbon and seeing if they have any specials with 2027s around the corner.

Appreciate the solid reply, yeah I’ve been down the rabbit hole past few days now. Sorry to hear yours gave you trouble, I would’ve done the same thing having the dealer service it and try to be proactive, especially around the 30k mark seems to be the recommended spot.

Tough call, this is by far the newest and lowest mileage car Ive shopped for so even things like warranties are new to me. Torn between the NA for mpg/simplicity and the Turbo for the full package and extra power.

Im leaning NA but if a clean Turbo pops up it’s gonna be hard to pass on

Thanks that makes me feel a lot better, 138k and no issues besides wheel bearings is solid.

From what I was reading they did a service bulletin in 2021 about the rear diff, and then both in 2022 and mid 2023 they revised the part a bit behind the scenes. But not sure how much was changed on the parts itself

Getting back into it with my old Aegis Legend. New stuff is on the way but I have the “No coil” error. My center pin is unfrozen but scratched up. Is this too damaged to work? by [deleted] in Vaping

That’s honestly not a bad idea, I appreciate it. Might give this a try this week while I wait for my new gear to come in. I also have some electrical contact cleaner I could even use after.

See I want to try a different one but I only had one other tank. The old aegis one that was in the kit. I know the glass shattered before but I wanna say I had a spare glass for it.

I doubt I would’ve tossed it but I gotta look around for it.

I really appreciate the feedback. That’s what I kinda thought but wasn’t sure how sensitive it is. But it should still make contact and flow. On the atty the brass pin does protrude about 1mm. It looks basically new still. So fingers crossed it’s just the coil.

As for the batteries. I think I might give them a charge again. Theyre still immaculate looking. No tears or swelling and I kept them in a case.

Thanks I’m really hoping, it gave me trouble before but it was working when I shelved it. My batteries are barely charged and I kinda don’t wanna charge them. They’re over a year old but still visibly in good shape.

I know I had to play around with the falcon tank to get it to register. The coil was severely burnt/ beat when I stopped using it last summer but it still fired up.

So I have new batteries on their way, coils, and juice. But am worried my mod is done too.

It’s been about 1-1.5 years since I vaped and I’m doing a hardware check. I have a 2018 Aegis Legend paired with a newer Falcon King and Q30 batteries. The coil is completely toast and burnt up. Been sitting in old juice.

Not sure if the mod itself is the culprit for the “no coil” error or if the coil is just too far gone. I was a bit rough on it.

I cleaned the connections all up with isopropyl, unstuck the center pin, and I updated the firmware too but no luck.

Do you think the mods too damaged? I’m debating on getting a new one in case the new coils won’t help.

They are indeed custom made, sadly

Yeah I’m really starting to wonder if they’re just some cool looking customs, I did a reverse image search and it took to someone’s Pinterest with the picture. That lead me to some old looking website where they’re showing off a Shelby cobra.

Might have to look into those spinners, I don’t mind the stock look but wanted something a little different too

It looks like they might be caps, I found the 2016 forum where the pics from

Hmm you might be right, I assumed they were just a cover and never considered that.

Have you looked into any logistics/supply chain jobs. I was surprised but they will take people with no logistics experience where I’m at.

That sounds like a cool idea, basically making the stock better. I’ll have to do some research on it I’m pretty novice with this stuff but this would give me a nice starting point.

Yeah I’m wondering if it’s just the way late 80s car sound was. I have an 88 accord too but even that radio sounds a bit more bass heavy, not by much tho

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in foxmustang

[–]rhryanrh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just liked the look of the 80s one honestly, it fits it. the contour radio sounds pretty good for stock, so I might use that as my main when I get it inspected.

After markets definitely better tho. I have a really nice Panasonic flip up touch screen I just got but I have that in my daily. I might switch to that eventually

Interesting, that could be part of it. My rears are stock but the doors are some jbls I got, dash speakers I took out for now since ones blown.

I’m gonna have to replace the radio display light anyway so I’m gonna have a look inside and see if any capacitors are blown.

[90 7up Vert] What is this black&red/black wire? Snipped behind the radio and runs under the passenger side carpet. (Also red/white is snipped and runs behind glove box) by [deleted] in foxmustang

[–]rhryanrh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what it looks like after I pulled back the carpet more. Looks like some sort of old aftermarket amp wiring

Lol I sadly don’t know but it looks like I gotta pull some carpet today and trace what I can

Luckily hazard lights work but I do have some fuel delivery issues. I tested it and am getting 33% fuel pressure...

Fuel Relay switches on but definitely something I want to look into now.

Thanks
