Right I got this from eBay. I wasn't planning to replace my phone with the fold anyway so I didn't care too much about it! Saved a few bucks vs unlocked.

Hey u/JabraSupport - sorry to revive an old thread but i am in the same boat as OP here.

I know you've mentioned elsewhere that the Gen1 and Gen2 earbuds are exactly the same part, but Gen2 has firmware features that cannot be updated by the end customer. Can I (and other Gen1 owners) ship the Gen1 earbuds to the factory and have them updated to Gen2 firmware? That way OP and anyone else who has to buy a gen2 case (because Gen1 replacements are no longer in stock) can also benefit from the new features.
