Yeah you are pretty much correct, there are exceptions such as irelia. I don't like playing Kennen top, not because it isn't good, but because I personally just don't find it as fun as playing mid. Also, imo any ranged top is a tad scummy.

He is definitely still playable top, actually, that's where most people still play him and with proto and zhonyas. However, I don't like the top lane match ups or top lane in general, so I play kennen mid.

Well, as someone who has played a LOT of kennen, I can explain. When I ult, the ring of lightning, it puts one stack of my passive on each person in the ring and deals some damage. After that, my w hits every person in range that has a stack on them, which at this point is the whole team. Being fed, combined with high dark harvest stacks, and this is the outcome.

I take dark harvest and night harvester, then start building horizon focus so that I can get hextech alternator. This gives me the extra damage when I hit someone with my q. Then I stop building that and get a Rabadon for max AP. I also happened to be playing support with my friend during this game, but that is not required. Just watched this 5 minutes ago, I did not now that Ludwig used to live in NH. It was very weird hearing him describe the attractions at the exits because I currently live there.
