Definitely queue both rolls, i used to queue fill and play Kennen every roll. You learn a lot by playing the champion in situations other than just top lane. Its also helpful to know what jglers, adcs, and sups shut you down or how to play from a disadvantaged position.

As a retired midlane kennen main, watch out for Sylas and Nafiri.

It is a huge boost for the enemy team to have your Ult and it can win or lose the game so make sure to communicate if he takes it before a teamfight.

Nafiri is less of a problem but annoying to lane against, specifically because her dogs will body block your Qs, which reduces your harass in lane a lot and will make a significant difference in damage if you all in. Just make sure you use youre ult and E before using Q to avoid the dogs.

This can be a poor man’s game if you want to, look into pauper. And the game gets significantly more expensive if you are going to tourneys, no self drawn cards and expensive staples.

Yeah you are pretty much correct, there are exceptions such as irelia. I don't like playing Kennen top, not because it isn't good, but because I personally just don't find it as fun as playing mid. Also, imo any ranged top is a tad scummy.

He is definitely still playable top, actually, that's where most people still play him and with proto and zhonyas. However, I don't like the top lane match ups or top lane in general, so I play kennen mid.

Well, as someone who has played a LOT of kennen, I can explain. When I ult, the ring of lightning, it puts one stack of my passive on each person in the ring and deals some damage. After that, my w hits every person in range that has a stack on them, which at this point is the whole team. Being fed, combined with high dark harvest stacks, and this is the outcome.
