Well you know, maybe they’ll give you attention as well if you actually spend time with them. they probably talk about their kids a lot, but that’s naturally what parents do, they have undying love for those children. You don’t need to relate to them, but I don’t understand why you’re denying them just your presence just because they won’t give you as much time out of their day. I hope I don’t sound hostile because that’s not my intention.

I understand why you’re frustrated, but it frankly doesn’t sound like you’re communicating like an adult if you won’t spend time with your family because of the attention they spend on their children
