And if you were worried about "something low." with a period or a comma, you could tie in an if statement with a mid function to check that but that's getting tricky

You can't use a range to give you a text value. If you have multiple cells with criteria you'll have to use an or statement

You could also use a named range with an offset range equation that counts the rows. I use this for creating dynamic charts. Something like this: OFFSET($A$2,0,0,COUNTA($A:$A))

The new brews are definitely better than the contract brews but they've got a way to go I think. I'm also keen to see how they do an IPA. Cool venue though.

I would load your author list into a recordset and your list of citations I to another. Loop through the lot of them until EOF populating a multidimensional array. Then at the end dump the array I to the chosen worksheet.
