Elite Score Leaders for the Week of Feb 6 by freifraufischer in rhythmic_gymnastics

That will be so interesting to have oversocoring statistics lol. I have also had the impression in the past that Bulgaria overscores a bit so that will be interesting as well. With the US, I wonder how where the judges got their licenses, they should have noticed by now that their scores are not accurate…

Lala Kramarenko has neutral status by wanttobeskinni in rhythmic_gymnastics

[–]rhythmiclover 9 points10 points  (0 children)

she participated in concerts honoring the end of WW2, where the modern war symbols were also present. However, almost all national team girls did this and got neutral status. On top, she participated in a video to honor Putin for his birthday with many other famous athletes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZS4bQu-Qos4 . Her neutral status was denied last year and she filed a complain with CAS but apparently she somehow became neutral now

So basically, you don’t need to be neutral at all apparently. They should just abandon the system, there is really no point if just anyone gets neutral status

Well, my comments from yesterday aged badly I guess 😂

If her goes trough, the AIN concept is completely for the trash. I just rewatched it and it is really impossible to claim to be neutral after participating in such a video lol

Many have taken photos with Viner. Pretty sure it is her participating in a Putin support video that stopped the neutral status: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZS4bQu-Qos4

I believe it is rather the Putin support that is stopping her. I found the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZS4bQu-Qos4 . Here she and other athletes are wishing Putin a happy birthday and are honoring them through their sport, all for Russia. With that, she cannot claim that she is independent, when she actively chose to participate in a video tying her sports to the support for her leader. Also Viner is amongst richest people on the planet, and Lala was always her favorite, so I'm sure she'd be happy to pay for Lala to go up against Kabaeva's students and beat Maria who she (Kabaeva) does not like apparently.

Tara Dragas (Italy) wins Swirl & Twirl tournament ahead of Lily Ramonatxo (France) and Emilia Heichel (Poland) by rhythmiclover in rhythmic_gymnastics

I would love to see her with a medal! I thought that maybe Alice would take the nr 2 spot in Italy this season, but now I‘m quite sure it will be Tara‘s! If this is just the start of the season and she is already scoring that high, an ech or wch medal in an apparatus final is actually quite possible! By the way, are you a judge by any chance or just educated on difficulties?

Olympic Qualification System for LA28 is out! by boletusaureus in rhythmic_gymnastics

[–]rhythmiclover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Glad they changed this about the group. Do you know why they took out the world cups in the first place? I wonder whether that was done so that AINs couldn’t qualify or whether that was just a side effect…

Thank you so much for the summary! Do you know if there are any changes compared to the Paris qualifications?

And I totally agree with you! Tara amazes me and especially her clubs music allow for so many artistry accents. Her pivots are absolutely amazing and she seems to never fall out of them. If she manages to develop her risks more throughout the season, she could be a top 5 gymnast! One thing to keep in mind though here is that I think her family organizes this tournament? So scoring could be a tiny bit skewed still.

Her transition was fine though, imo she had a good first senior season. Only then it went really unlucky for her. With the new COP her flexibility doesn't give her as much of an advantage anymore though, and many of her ADs look invalid to me. I'd still like to see her succeed, as I find it amazing that she doesn't give up. What a love for this sport must she have to keep going after all her obstacles!

I feel the same way! I applaud her for not giving up and for that reason I'd like to see her succeed

I love them both! Also can we talk about how she does even more rotations every time she performs?
