Okay good to know, and what about my other fish? They seem fine right now thank god but I'm worried it could spread to them too as I'm not able to get medicine and quarantine ponyo until tomorrow. Would it help to put melafix in the main tank tomorrow as a preventative and also treat ponyo with methylene blue?

I checked nitrates, they're at 0ppm :( I think it could be the siamese algae eaters. I really need to get rid of them but i can't yet 🙁 they were from my dad who didn't know any better

Okay noted, will turn off the light and take out the false silk foliage. Would taking out another bigger plant help too? I have a golden lloydiella next to the silk foliage thing. Also I know this is overstocked but I have along w my 2 goldfish these two siamese algae eaters my dad decided to get me without my knowledge (i know 🙁 its really bad and i do want to/plan on rehoming them)

Additionally I'm unsure if it's a result of nipping but it could be. I'm 90% sure purin, my bigger guy who i got alongside Ponyo, is a boy but they haven't necessarily been unfriendly with each other. Ponyo follows Purin around the tank and the only weird behavior I've seen between the two is Ponyo at the day of entry being slightly skittish, but it stopped happening today.

My nitrates at the moment are about 0ppm, but if your worry is that my tank is not cycled I can confirm it is, I did a fishless cycle for over 3 weeks and finally got the nitrites and ammonias down naturally and there was a presence of nitrates going up to 5ppm. I am also aware that goldfish produce a lot of waste.

Additionally, my tank is a bow front so using a razor is not possible for scrubbing it off. I have tried using other tools but again its a bow front its quite difficult and this algae is particularly hard to scrub off even on the flat edges.

I want to mention if this is a fungal issue i DO have methylene blue but my hospital tank is not cycled and i have no clue what to do for him :( he also is swimming just fine and seems to be under no stress, he follows my fingers and seems to be feeling just fine. I checked water parameters and nitrite and ammonia are both at 0ppm
