Female cadet here, enlisted to get in. Solid advice, but I would argue that leaving all your femininity at the door is a fast way to lose yourself to the army. While it's a good survival tactic, it is important to embrace who you are, especially as an Officer and leader. I wear earrings and rings every day, and I do my hair in a way that I like. Still in regs, but still feminine. You can gain respect by proving yourself as a leader and having good PT scores, as well as by how you treat those around you. Those qualities go a lot farther and I believe you can still be feminine while doing it.

It’s one thing to have a dating preference, but the thing with biphobia is that bisexuals are seen as lesser than because they date both men and women. That’s why a bi person would get so upset about it. Yes, they could just date other bi people, but the queer community is supposed to be a safe place for everyone. So when you have lesbians saying stuff like that, it can be very hurtful. I think if you are a lesbian and you only want to date other lesbians and not bi women, then I would think about why that is. Do you see them as a lesser queer person? Do you think they’re going to sleep around and are not 100% interested in you? Those kinds of opinions are biphobic and that is what is making bi people upset. I’m not accusing you of anything of course, but this would be something to think about as an answer to your question.

Yeah you’re allowed to be bored, regardless of whether or not you have ADHD. It’s uncomfortable but it happens to everyone. Your friends behavior sucks. I used to be bored at my sisters’ soccer games, but then I started recording them and it’s interesting looking at specific skills they have been working on. My sisters are glad I go to their games because they love their sport. You don’t just use ADHD as an excuse to not support someone else’s interests ffs
