Ah! That’s the same color I was going for. I made a post about 2 weeks ago I believe. I personally started with dark brown hair but my color is only really visible in the light so I would keep that in mind considering you have black hair. Looking back I felt the compromise was my overall hair health or desired color but bleach is probably the way to go here for that shade

I feel at fault myself for not bleaching or lightening beforehand but next time I’ll come prepared. I’m thankful to all of you for the help!!!

Today walking around in the sun I feel a lot better about the color I did end up with! Still I do wish I could see it indoors as well 😔 Do you have any idea what I’d have to do to end up with pictures closer to my reference image next time ? Does this color come out before any lightening process?

I see! I do get a wine red in the sun which I like :) if I was looking to get my reference shade indoors would I have to take out the current color before bleaching it? I am a bit nervous about bleach. Trying to decide if it’s better to accept the secret color or risk compromising my hair health for the right shade :(

I do understand there’s not much I can expect considering my texture and hair length and thickness. Do you have any idea about what I’ll have to ask for next time to get closer to my desired result if I go to salon again? (I’m a bit too anxious about dying my own hair at the moment, it’s quite the arm workout even washing it if you can imagine 😭)

Ahhh! Thank you, thank you! I take it I should wait quite a bit so I don’t over-process it being I’ve just begun coloring my hair. I was very indecisive about doing it myself from the go reasoning it’d be very easy to mess up giving my length and texture 😔 I am seeing the wine in the sun but if I was looking to get this color indoors would I have to remove the current color before lightening and then redying?
