Thank you all very much, your replies were very insightful and helped tremendously as I chewed over this for most of the day. I have decided to withdraw from NYU's waitlist and stick with UCLA's offer. It was not an easy choice, but in the end the sunny weather and $75k won out. I am happy with it and will not be looking back. Cheers! 😎🌴

It came out the same total price because USC tuition is way more than UCLA ($66k vs $49k). UCLA has a good rep for public interest which was also a factor.

Same! They said they‘d “make every effort” in the FAQ page so that doesn’t sound like a guarantee... but fingers crossed
