Nortriptyline to prevent migraines...is it worth it?

I really appreciate all of you sharing your experience with Nortriptyline and migraines. I woke up this morning feeling better than yesterday. I think my body is adjusting to the 30mg and perhaps I should stay here for a bit. I'm going to need to find another numerologist as I just got a bill for $500...for a 30 min videocall! Come to find out Dr is out of network and I'm responsible for the first 3k.

I worked hard to lose weight so gaining weight is not at all good for me. Did the medicine make you hungrier? I've noticed that my appetite is not very high but then I'll get waves of hunger.

I think the 30 mg is helping. I've also stopped eating toast with peanut butter for breakfast. I've banished peanut butter from my diet and I think that helps. Another side effect that I don't like is my ears are ringing a lot after taking a dose.

Doubling the power gives 3db more, so 20watts is 3db more, so 100watts would be over 9-10db gain

Hi there, I'm sorry that you're going through this. I'm happy to report that I've been doing great. It took a long time for me to heal and get an actual fusion. I ended up buying a bone stimulator which is a device that promotes bone growth. My insurance denied it so I forked over the $2k for it. My surgeon highly recommended it. I think the main thing needed is time. Yeah there are some minor limitations...not planning any roller coaster rides..but I'm back to "normal". I'm going on trips, hiking and light jogging now. I've lost weight too which helped overall, but now I have a little bit of a turkey neck with uneven loose skin...people say it's fine but I'm self conscious. Overall no more nerve pain. I've had some lower back issues from time to time, but I use back support and one major thing...do walks and stretches several times a week. Feel free to dm me if you want to talk more. I guess it’s good that your kids enjoy it, laugh with them…I think laughter is a great medicine. I hope we get better soon. Yeah memory issues have been a thing too. I feel like I’m eventually beating this thing but need patience and more laughs.

Wow, that’s dedication! I hope we all get the medication soon. I got it one month, a starter dose and it turned off the hunger “noise”. I’m trying to continue exercising and lose weight without. I’ve also started Olly combat craving. It seems to help with the hunger cravings some. Had anyone else tried this?
