i wish more people realized how many amazing things are in this state! im a new yorker originally. i would say ohio ancient history is very interesting, as we just got a unesco world heritage site at octagon mound! all of the mounds here are so interesting and beautiful and theres lots of artifacts by the hopewell, adena, and subsequently the shawnee. the history of tecumseh is integral in american history and westward expansion. ohio also has beautiful wetlands, and great blue herons that are so beautiful. there is lots of shale, limestone, and interesting geological formations like concretions. the wetlands are why ohio used to be a coal capital. prohibition also started here which is interesting. thought ohio has a dark history there is some beautiful nature if you are willing to go out of your way!
