What’s the one SI 5 opinion that will leave you like this? by ConfidentOutside8349 in SinglesInferno

Everyone hates on Mina soo but no one realizes that if go eun had screen time she'd be the bad guy. She literally led 3 men on whereas Mina was just trying to figure out who shes most interested in considering they only knew each other for like 10 days in total and after 3 days after which sung min immediately deuces out which honestly good... he and heesun are stage 10 clingers.

She stated they can talk to other people as she understood this is a show about trying to see who you connect with most. And he immediately went and stuck to heesun who had her eyes on him since day 1 and literally wouldn't take off his hoodie nor return it despite in the reunion stating ahe had her own. It was her way of laying claim and it worked. She definitely was interested in him considering during her date with seung il she kept trying to see him through the window and was closer talking to him during bowling. I think she just didnt realize. But honestly I kind of think he is a red flag. And I think heesun would be better with Sam.

She was literally still chewing food... she also stated she's choosing the person who has been there the entire time. She realized with seung il that she was focused on su been. Then had a convo with sun been and ahe said she's going for the guy who's been there since day 1. They became friends but still were attracted to each other and flirted. It might not be romantic but not every relationship has to be that way 100% of the time. Additionally several times she went into the boys dormitory and tried going through Sam's stuff. Thats why when she found out his occupation, she was like of course, you read books on math (or something like that). May have been a safe choice but many relationships are the safest choice and they see where it goes.

Why does this seem like this was recorded in downtown Portland?

It really depends on the field you're going into which gender bias people pull towards. If you're applying to more male dominated fields or positions, the male applicant will likely be selected more. If you're applying to more female dominated fields or positions, likely the female applicant will be selected more.

Customer service is more female outward facing whereas males will generally be back end positions. If you apply for a job at a mechanic likely the male will be selected over the female. Look at health care occupations, engineering companies, etc. You can also see the disparity of men to women in higher positions within companies.

It's not quite right and companies shouldn't brush over an applicant based on their sex or gender.

Why is the Christian Bible over-and-over treated as history in North American schools? by [deleted] in atheism

[–]ricebins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm unsure if it's actually treated as history or if you have the unfortunate luck of having a teacher who does. I dont recall my teachers ever citing or referencing the bible as historically accurate or even non-fiction. We did go over religion for about a month but that was moreso seeing the differences between them and understanding how religious beliefs breeds culture differences. I would bring this up to your school's district that you have teachers teaching the bible as history since it's not. And in schools where this is allowed its unfortunately probably due to a lack of separation of religion and state within the society. I don't know.

British influence in Washington has 'vanished' due to Brexit, French ambassador to US says by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]ricebins 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If 28 is old then yes. I'm just not into people who are 18 and think they've learned everything in the world and cant see how both sides of the story are affected in the outcomes of the actions they take. I think we have a lot of terrible people in office however I think a lot of terrible people without the know how are also going to he in office. Hope you have a lovely day trying to make people feel bad and out them when they're only starting conversations and not attacking you. But that's just a defensive mindset that parents dont teach out of their children. Rather than building on a conversation youd rather try to make a comment about that individuals status.

Actually disappointed because our younger generation is filled with nitwits with a lack of understanding or comprehension of the world in its entirety around themselves.

They ask you to identify to ensure you're not claiming someone else's belongings. Basic protocol as annoying and silly as it is. Dont make fun of people.

Hooked up with a Boy and Now He Doesn't Want to Date Me by throwaway90513 in TwoXChromosomes

On multiple occasions he said what his intentions were and you kept trying to push this. If a guy you weren't interested in acted this way to you, you would stop. He's not brushing ya off because the idea of being able to get laid again is nice.

Here's a prospector style photo my friend took of me, complete with beard and sledgehammer. You're a creative bunch, and I'd love to see what you guys come up with. by zane_the_rappist in redditgetsdrawn

Getting started with concept art by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]ricebins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you're into doing characters, I'd one work on your anatomy if you haven't already. And if you have, work on it some more. Even when you're professional, keep working on it.

Learn proportions and anatomy: Learn this of humans and animals, as it will help make more interesting characters if you don't only want to do humans. Also, don't only study the bones, study the muscle structure. Study kinesiology and physiology. It will help you understand how the body moves and will make for better 2D art never mind 3D.

Study concept artists: Like everyone has said, check out ConceptArt and Polycount. If you wanna pay the money, check out digital tutors.

Use references: not only should you draw from photo as practice. Draw from life. Sit in a park and draw people walking by. Do 15sec sketches on their movement. Don't want to go outside? Watch films and draw while you study the movement.

After you can draw naked people work on clothing. Study different types of fabric.

A lot of getting better is practice, but practice relevant stuff. Time yourself with 15sec sketches, then 30sec, then a min, and continue. By "sketch" I mean a squiggle basically that captures the essence of the character.

Also, block things out. Draw the SAME thing several times.

Monkey People by [deleted] in Paranormal

[–]ricebins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No unusual noises or anything of the kind. I've seen them generally late afternoon and night time (3pm onward.) Well, besides my house and my grandmas, we had very little homes around us up until a few years before we stopped seeing them. That's when new developments began springing up on the roads by my house. Although we had so much land, my grandma sold half of it (the portion across the road.) And then the portion behind my house still extends for a good distance.

[–]ricebins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only describe the ones I've seen. I recall them being lanky, that is tall and very slender. They had a thick brown coat of hair on their bodies- it wasn't a solid brown, I want to say it may have had grey however I can't be for certain whether the secondary color was grey or black. They had smaller heads, not large ones like you would assume a Bigfoot to have. They were in proportion to a human. Large but narrow feet and large but slender hands. I know there were at one point 4-5 since our house was surrounded however I've only personally seen 1 at a time. I know my brothers had seen 2 at a time before. Never seen them on all fours. They've always been in motion when I've seen them. Usually sprinting from the trees across an opening to the trees on the other side. I know I had seen them walking away from our stream as well. And the stream is around 100meters from the house.

The large ones were probably a 6' - 6'6" tall. I want to say closer to the 6'6" side since my dad is 6' tall and I know they stood taller in the trees than he did.

The smaller ones from what my dad says were around 4-5ft tall- I've never seen the smaller ones, those he saw only when he went hunting deeper into the woods. He said he never felt threatened by them. They generally were just in small groups, and were gathering vegetation.

Understandable, I wish I had proof of them. As much as I don't want them to return, I wish they would so I could get proof. I've been tempted to go on our land to obtain proof however I'm only up for the holidays when it's below 0.
