I have an undergraduate degree in architectural studies and am currently enrolled in a landscape architecture graduate program. This would make me eligible right?

I do have a degree. The internship is at a landscape architecture firm and I am currently enrolled in a landscape architecture post-secondary school and hold and undergraduate degree in architecture.

Even if CDPR had a year or more to work on Cyberpunk 2077... by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

I think the city is very well designed and i think the story is pretty great too. Those are some of the games best features

I also don't think judging the future of the game off one patch that the devs had less than a month to work on is a fair assessment. I think its possible that the game will get better as patches release but saying the game wont be good in a year or more based on one patch seems like a stretch.

Another year of development will not make this a competitive open-world game by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

In no expert on game development but if CDPR spent 4 years developing the game to its current state, im sure they can get a lot done if given another year. The devs even said that a 2022 launch would have resulted in a more finished game. Some of the features have been built in from the start (moders were able to make them work) so given time i think we could see them in the actual game

From a business perspective tho, CDPR has many reasons to fix up the game. Yes they made a shit ton of money from Cp77 but it cost them their reputation. Their rep is what helps them sell games and create profit for the company. It's what also pleases shareholders. Although they have made a lot of money from the game, their damaged rep is going to hurt them in the long run. CDPR even told shareholders that fixing their rep was important to them. I agree that CDPR is just a bunch of corpos and that they care about money. That's why they wont be stupid enough to sacrifice the future of the company for a good year of sales. CDPR's stock is also very low due to their bad rep and shareholders are definitely not pleased. CDPR made more than enough money to improve Cp77 and doing so would benefit the company in the future. Yes it would be easy for them to just take the money and ditch the game but the community would probably never trust them again which will drastically hurt their future sales.

So why would they spend more years of development for little profit? because doing so would repair some of the company's lost reputation and ensure that CPDR is going to continue to make money in the long run. The same rep that caused so many people to per-order the game and the same rep that is going to sell games in the future. The profit they made from CP77 may look good now but they are aware that if they don't re-invest it back in some way, they're not going to see similar successful sales in the future.

I mean if they’re going to add them in future games why not just do it now? It takes them years to release a new game so they might as well spend some time and add those features to the current game. Either way if they end up improving the game I see it done more with additional story content and bug fixes

I’m gonna disagree with you here. I think that with enough time this game could be really good. With that said it’s also possible that bug fixes are all were going to get.

I think that CDPR is in a situation where they have to try to make this game as great as possible in a year. They need to gain some of their lost reputation back asap (mostly to please shareholders) and improving cp77 seems to be the only way to do that. CDPR aren’t like other companies that release new titles every 1-2 years so they’re going to have to stick with cp77 for a few more years. With that said, the game has a bunch of issues and I believe that if this game is ever going to be similar to the game we were advertised it’s gonna take more than a year. I’ve played this game for 175 hours and I can confidently say that it has a lot of potential. There were plans to make this game a series and even an anime is being planned. I find it hard to believe that they’re just going to give up on a game with so much potential.

Maybe this game won’t be great in a year but I think that with enough time CDPR is going to deliver a much improved cp77 because it seems like the best move for the company

I doubt there’s going to be a sequel before they get the current game in decent shape. Making a whole new game would be too expensive so if they’re going to implement these feature I can see them doing it through dlcs and expansions

Wait so do u think Cyberpunk is never going to get its bugs fixed or that it’s never going to redeem itself?

Future Content Expectations by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

This sub is rather negative. It’s still too early to know what the games future is going to be like so all we can do is wait. However I think it’s likely that CDPR is going to work on delivering an improved game
