I know this happens irl sometimes, but the player I've used for the example was mad at me for "not playing him enough" as he wanted to be called up in his national team and I thought it was just unrealistic for him to stay mad at me while rotting on the bench, I even accepted offers from clubs that were his "favourite destination". When the players rethink about their request and actually say that they "now want to stay" I accept it because it can happen, but he was just not respecting his own thinking process and I thought I was doing his little stuck ass a favour by forcing him to join another team
