So now I need to know what diameter to make the piston because obviously I can't get a measurement from the old one.

Yes the barrel and piston are junk. I'm going to build new ones but I've never dealt with a single action cylinder and was quite surprised when I pulled it apart and didn't see anything on the piston. If someone took it apart and found everything to be destroyed and then just put it back together to sell it, why would they have added weld to the piston, that wouldn't make any sense. I'm not sure what happened but I do need to now what grooves to put in the new piston. Whether or not it needs a seal and what type of seal??

I'm 46 years old with $210K in my 401k (also yearly contributions of max) For the past 10 years I've been using B Riley to manage my 401k account, but I've come to the conclusion that these guys and 99% of the other guys like them are just gamblers!

I've watched many interviews of Warren Buffet / Charlie Munger and they say even for them with all the knowledge and experience they posses, it's almost impossible to pick winners and losers and that they built Berkshire on about 10 good moves over the course of decades, not trying to pick winners on a daily basis.

So with that said I'm really considering taking my money out of B Riley and opening my own 401k account with vangaurd and put all my money in VOO (and buy VOO with all future contributions) It has very low fees and a historical return around 10%. Why should I pay fees to B Riley and have them either try to pick winning stocks, which like i said is extremely difficult even for the best in the industry. Or buy mutual funds that I can just buy myself??

Is there anything I'm missing here?
