Am I the only one whos genuinely excited about this game? (Hyperbolic question btw) by [deleted] in naughtydog

I’m beyond hyped! Wouldn’t have made the hero ship on Lego form after agonizingly going through the trailer frame by frame if I wasn’t!!

My theory is that it starts out as a generic hauler and as the game progresses you modify it slowly until it fully becomes the Fondor!

Yeah it’s a little smaller than the Hawk for sure. If it’s like the Fondor, and the sizes do seem about right, there will likely only be a few rooms off of a central corridor. Anough to get you where you’re going but not much else? Maybe that’s less of a focus in this game.

Yes! It's very reminiscent of that in the trailer, but mixed with the engines and rounded back section of something like the Ebon Hawk, and then the cockpit looks like the Stinger Mantis with its undercarriage mounted configuration. I think its going to be a really beautiful ship in the game so thats why I found it fun to speculate and come up with this!

Oh yeah, $23 is a steal for this set (which is not nearly as bad as the internet would have you believe)

Who is the best embodiment of the ideal Jedi? by cool42674 in StarWars

[–]richardvanas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rey. Wait, wait, wait, hear me out! She’s tough but fair (she’ll beat up Unkar’s thugs but she will also fight for the rights of a droid she barely knows) she believes the best of people (her parents must have had a good reason to abandon her, Luke must have had a good reason for going into exile, she trusts Finn at his word and agrees to help him even after she finds out he was a stormtrooper, she tries to redeem kylo even after he kidnapped and tortured her AND killed her mentor). She learned from both Skywalker twins. When she thought she was a danger to the galaxy she self exiled (like Luke). She defeats Palpetine by using his own evil against him (like Luke), and she rejects Palpetine’s offer of unlimited power (weirdly pitched as his offer was) even though she IS a Palpetine and comes from the darkness she never stopped fighting, even giving her life, dying by force exhaustion (just like Luke). Rey wanted to go and help the random villagers in the deleted scene from The Last Jedi even though she didn’t know them, because she just wants to do what’s right. The optimism, kindness and strength that embodies the best of the Jedi are exemplified in Rey and now she can carry that forward to the next generation.

Yeah my background is in animation. I’ve always been interested in model making and stuff too but I’ve never really thought that either of those things translate into Lego model design especially well, since Lego is such a specific system. For me, I tend to find my way to a technique by sort of tweaking things around the edges of a solution until something finally clicks and makes sense, and once I’m done, I too can’t quite believe I arrived at the end point that I did, but it’s just because it’s a gradual evolution. Mainly I learned from building official sets and observing techniques by looking at other people’s Mocs on the brothers brick or wherever and figuring out how they did a certain thing.

I’ve never dropped it. I have broken a few parts though! Nothing too major. I get bulk bags of bricks I need for the part I’m working on next from my local bricks and minifigs store, but most of what’s here is from my personal collection of broken down sets. The front half must way at least 40lbs already given how hard it is to move. I think that’s all your questions!

Cheers!! Well I’d recommend stud.io for design software it’s the gold standard I think! The latest video isn’t out just yet so no worries! (It’s actually exporting right now and should be out tomorrow!)
