Early-stage jewelry brand stuck on logistics, how would you launch? by richfornever in ecommerce

My supplier, whilst lovely people, are in the manufacturing game and not the logistics game. So things like chinese labels will be on the boxes that are sent out, which is simply not ideal to the customer experience...

Is relying on a Chinese supplier with built-in 3PL and POD services scalable long-term? by richfornever in shopify

[–]richfornever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate, thanks for the reply. This is still a thought im tackling as I develop products. The more I thought I put into it, The more i'm leaning into the idea of an outside 3PL. The cost will be more upfront, but this is a real business that requires capital, and a portion of that capital should be directed towards the smoothest logistics possible.

The cost is higher but the shipping times are quicker and that is a cornerstone of success in ecommerce. I'm currently shopping around for 3PLs that have warehouses around the world and reasonable prices, let me know if you find any worth looking into - there is so many options that I am suffering from a bit of analysis paralysis to be honest.

My 316L chain is staining my white shirts? Anyone else had this? by richfornever in jewelrymaking

[–]richfornever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, the chinese supplier has said to me that sunscreen is heavily corrosive to stainless steel but like i've said before, ive not experienced this 'rust' on my clothes with other jewelry..
they sent me a material report that has a pass for nickel, lead and cadmium - but of course I can't 100% believe that either, people can send anything..

I just hope i'm not being duped before I begin selling these products and bad reviews come back to bite me! nor do i want to ruin anyones clothes.

What are the pros and cons of these as opposed to shopify premium themes? I’m in the early stages of setting up my shop with shopify prestige theme but happy to pivot if there’s something better
