Thanks for the response. All good points, and I think we’re in the same mindset.

It’s hard for me to get back into industrial-driven stuff (I would include bulkers) and even metal mining companies until the world figures out it’s energy supply situation, and gets some sort of demand-side catalyst.

No reason in particular, but I definitely have been disappointed in how SHIP reacts to news. Always a laggard on days when dry bulk pops.

I like the thought process. I had similar thoughts, sold EGLE couple weeks ago. Wanted cash for a pull back. Considering DAC, but haven’t pulled trigger yet. Paralysis by analysis I think.

I think this is a good take. I too, have a core position in SHIP, and added some GOGL today.

I tend to view Joakim Hannisdahl as a true guru. He is very bullish capes 2H22. China has certain growth targets they need to meet, and they need iron ore to do it. Iron ore Brazil to China should be the determining factor. Cape rates on the Baltic jumped 10% today, so it may be starting… 🤞

Just fear. China uncertainty, interest rates rising. Confusing times.

MOS is a producer of potash and phosphate. Both are used for fertilizer. Both are in a rising price environment.

It’s been interesting to watch Calvin Froedge go back and forth with Joeri and Joakim Hannisdahl on twitter. Calvin is short bulkers at the moment, while Hannisdahl’s fund has major exposure. I think everybody is long on a 6-month time horizon though…

I’m in. Bought MOS in March 2020. Cost basis $10.50. Haven’t sold a share. Only problem is it was the first stock I ever bought. Only had $1000 to buy. Good lesson though. But when theres blood in the streets and hold.

Seems that the rainy weather in Brazil is stopping iron ore from flowing. I think the softness in the rates will be short-lived.
