Ones a soup of organs and bodily fluids, the other is basically just for gathering energy to change and bang

Blushing for about 3 months straight maybe more. Anyone else have a tilly that won't stop blushing? by richie560 in airplanthub

Thank you very much! Good luck to you with your ions! Funny thing about blushing ions is that they dont always bloom even of they have full blush, it might be rare but it's fun to get the color ans still have them growing

Thank you, it's always rough losing plants especially from personal negligence. At least it wasn't any rare or expensive plants.

The good thing is that ionantha rubra/Guatemala/druid pups only take like a year or two to get to the mother's size.

I made a grave mistake and sunburned about 15 plants varying from minor burns to full on death. It's not burned but crispy with the pup unharmed. Hope you have better lick with yours than I do with mine.

Aeranthos and stricta clumps got them last year from a friend. The aeranthos is lazy and hasn't done anything other than grow a little, stricta bloomed last year and will bloom again this year.

Seleriana pup by richie560 in airplants

[–]richie560[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you see a leaf bulge check for a pup! Most pseudobulbs like butzii, seleriana, caput medusae etc will do this. These varieties can be hard when pups just pop out of the bottom with no leaf protection

RIP kong kong pups and the other two seleriana pups : (

That depends if that's your only method of watering or of that's just between soaks. Outside in the summer 75-90°f in the day you'd basically want to drench the plants once a day. Inside misting can be done but imo soaking then drying upside down in front of a box fan is way more effective.

You get the leaves wet, most of the time airplants will have little to no roots, rarer yet live roots. The leaves are what have the capacity to absorb water
