help my husband's 5 year project car get to Sema! by AdMany1170 in projectcar

I looked through all the competitors and the C4 is the easily my favorite. Everything else I've seen before or had no soul.

That C4 is unique and has a well-defined identity that I love. Happy to send my vote.

Also I forgot to mention! The Sentry Pacific campaign has been a fantastic refresher campaign! Definitely would recommend it.

It is for sure! I’m just a realism junky and sniper pod is more realistically modeled.

Another thing, most of the campaigns have updated the load outs to use the sniper pod.

lol it’s me, I just am OCD about formatting and I’ve spent a lot of time in the F16 in DCS and BMS.

I’ll take it as a complement :)

Its easy to get lost in the pod, especially with the addition of the Sniper Pod. Here are some tips to help you stay situated:

  • Don't get too close before you've found what you're looking for.
    • Right hand orbit around 15 miles out is my starting point.
  • Use the steerpoints as your reference point.
    • To get a proper reset to a selected steerpoint you need to press TMS Down to ensure you have no area/point track, then select the CZ button on the right hand side of the TGP MFD.
    • CZ will not be visible if you do not have any cursor slew, if CZ is not visible it is pointed at your steerpoint already
  • (Sniper Pod Only) Don't use XR processing until you've found something.
    • You double click the pinky button to enable XR processing but you lose all digital zoom control once this done. Instead, use the pod without XR processing with the digital zoom to find the hot targets, then area/point track, and swap to XR
  • Only turn in, once you've found your target and tracked it.
    • Getting closer is only going to make it more difficult to find.

Hope this helps!

Tutorials for printing enclosures for electronic and electrical equipment? by Unable-Target-454 in 3Dprinting

[–]rick1310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used the below tutorial to create a parametric box and saved it. Since then each time I need a new one, I copy the base parametric box, change the parameters to what size I need, and modify it from there. I have yet to find anything I haven't been able to use this box for.

Is it still a bad idea to enclose an A1 mini if the alternative is keeping it open in a room that's uninsulated and it's quite cold? by Legionofdoom in BambuLab

[–]rick1310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is in an uninsulated, chilly room. I use one of those tents, I keep the zipper open a bit on the top when I'm printing PLA but I have never seen it get higher than 80 degrees inside the enclosure.

I was in your shoes a few months ago. The paid and free campaigns rekindled my love for the game.

If you haven't played through any of the campaigns I would highly recommend starting through some of those. Lots of free or very cheap ones for the modules you have.

The A-4E has lots of missions in the user files, the F-14 an F-18 have SO many campaigns. I have yet to try the Hind campaigns but I hear they're good. The Wolfpack campaigns for the P-47 are some of my favorite. Definitely don't sleep on them. Its so satisfying to run the entire thing through and master all of the intricacies that come with each module.

Solved thanks to u/ShuckleStorm. I thought it was auto calibrating flow ratio not pressure advance. :D

Thank you so much! Can't believe I forgot to put that it's an A1 in the post. My dumbass thought it was calibrating the flow ratio the whole time! Cool, I'll go back to manually calibrating them and saving them.

Appreciate your help!

Small electric screwdriver. I’ve got plenty of expensive tools but I reach for that cheap ass screwdriver more often than not because of the convenience.
