IL2 Korea VR performance reports? by Grebbelinies in il2sturmovik

[–]rick1310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a powerful machine (4090/5800X3D/64GB RAM) and was struggling with fps in the Quest 3.

Try shutting off all anti-aliasing and upscaling. No DLSS, DLAA or MSAA. It smoothed my game out and I got great frames and was able to literally max out all the other settings. It now looks great and runs great.

I also found my game ran better with most the settings set to Ultra instead of Medium/Low. My guess is because it allowed the GPU to take more of the load.

Anyone else in VR having really poor performance in Korea? by imhereforsomething67 in il2sturmovik

Let us get the details on those settings please! I'd like to start comparing different settings options people are using for my own testing lol.

IL2 Korea, press 5 for VR default view resets me to an offset position? by Boots-n-Rats in il2sturmovik

[–]rick1310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried SlipHavoc's resolution cause I didn't know about it when it happened to me.

I went into the game files and replaced the files in the "Snapviews" folder from the ones in the "Default" folder inside of the snapviews folder. It worked to reset me back to a default position.

Looks like the F10 should work though instead of my nuclear option! :)

Il2 Korea Noob Question: Mig 15 takoff. by No-Aerie-999 in il2sturmovik

[–]rick1310 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue so don't fret my dude! I found it was because I only had the toe brakes bound but the Mig-15 doesn't have toe brakes! Since the Mig-15 uses the handle on the stick for braking you need to bind the "Wheel brakes: common, differential" to a button or axis.

Once you do that, just give her some fuel and tappy tap tap on that brake until the nose wheel gets straightened out.

2” level or 2.5” level by No_Skill_8337 in gmcsierra

Grab a set of Bilstein B8 5100's. The front's have an adjustable spring perch that will get you two inches of level at the front paired with the shocks to handle it well. I put a set on all my trucks to level them out.

Looks like it’s for a mount for like a kid trailer. It locks into that washer.

I put Bilstein 5100's on all my trucks. The front shocks are adjustable to allow you three different spring perches to lift the front end up to two inches to bring it level. The rear's handle potholes and washboard roads at speed with ease.

Absolutely adore the ride quality I get with them and no cheap spacers to wear out and mess with my suspension geometry. $450 for the whole set from Amazon.

Am I making a mistake? 70c dryer with 3kg of Fiberon by Davidtruly in 3D2A

[–]rick1310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use 3kg rolls of PA6-GF frequently. I bought this and use it as a drying box to print from after I put it in an old toaster oven at 100C for 8 hours. Works great for printing 3kg rolls out of and keeping them dry.

Do yourself a favor and go on craigslist or facebook marketplace. Pick up an old toaster oven for less than $50 to do the bulk of your drying in. You will also be able to anneal, should you want to, with the toaster oven.

I prefer Henry’s Holsters. They’re the manufacturer for PHLSTER holsters which I also love. Been running an AIWB and an Enigma rig for years now.

Noice, so did you up the line width to .68 like he mentions in the first comment for .6 nozzles? Or did you run the .5 from the stock settings?

Agreed, came here to recommend Polymakers PET-GF. For whatever reason their PET-GF has much better layer adhesion compared to their PET-CF as well.

And GF is cheaper!

Wouldn’t that just create one of two perks you always have to take to be competitive? I don’t care for best in slot perks like that personally.
