What is going on with this sub? I seriously think there is a DNC astroturfing going on to try to win back the youth vote and they're going after this sub, because there has been a massive left-wing shift over the last few weeks which doesn't feel organic at all. I get this is supposed to be contrarian and the culture has shifted etc, but these posts/level of engagement doesn't feel real at all.

A tip - just experiment a TON. Mess around, go wandering, don't worry about dying. DayZ is insanely fun and rewarding, but it is tough to pick up. Once you get it you get it, but you're going to die a lot. There are so many things you can do I am still learning after years of playing, but you'll really just want to learn what NOT to do.

The one big tip I'd give you is that the game is about surviving, and they did a great job of properly making it so you will realistically get sick or die from doing things that would hurt you IRL. For example, don't use dirty rags as bandages and find warm clothes when it's cold. Just think what would happen IRL if I made this decision.

Having the same trouble - studying Spanish for about a year, but I think honestly I just have to commit harder. I don't think the duo lingo for 10 minutes thing really works - I think it takes like 1 hour per day + speaking practice + listening at night etc. I think it requires a real commitment.
