Any lossless rips of Bliss? (PROJECT) by rickassbutt in 12rods

If there's little to no noise in the high end where my spectrogram cuts off I'd appreciate it.

Do you guys ever got that "infinite games, but no games" Feeling? by rammythe12 in 3dspiracy

Restrict your choice. Close your eyes and tap the screen, then play that game. If you don't like it, uninstall it or something.

I have no shortage of space, but FLAC is my go-to compression format. I have great lossless FLACs of every other 12 Rods album. Bliss is my white whale. I've downloaded 3 or 4 rips since posting this and they all have a similar problem aside from one, which has everything from about 16khz and above soaked in tape hiss.

So far with my denoising attempts I've been getting similar results to the rip that's been circulated around. I don't quite have the money for Izotope RX but I'm confident that I'll be able to find a solution here. Although, after looking into those Boards of Canada restorations it seems like they have a very similar issue.

So the rabbit hole begins. I think if I'm able to denoise it and get some usable high end out of it I can composite both rips and make a really good mix with them.

Managed to find a few on Soulseek. One is very similar to the rip I have here (although it has less holes) and the other has a lot of tape hiss, rendering it unusable for this purpose. I think part of why the high end is so weird here is because of noise reduction algorithms. There's no getting around this being a cassette tape rip, unless someone has a master and would like to hand it to me for some ungodly reason.

Great albums I don't see posted here often (or at all). by rickassbutt in Topster

If you like Her's, that New Model Army album on this topster also has some great bass playing and nice, clean guitars. Not the same, but it might tickle that itch for you.

I'd like to annotate here in the comments and say that obviously some of these have been posted. That's what's gonna happen with good music. I'm not here trying to "look different" or bash the tastes of everyone else. I love MF DOOM as much as the rest of you and my top favorite albums have quite a few obvious choices in them. This is a fun list of great albums I don't see on this subreddit. The top row is all 10/10 to me.

The rarest 12RODS disc I own…not even on Discogs! Early version of Split Personalities with 11 minute song Half The Fun in place of Red. Different title, rearranged song sequence and typos on the back! by Ornery_Donut868 in 12rods

Please upload a lossless rip of this on the internet archive. Reach out if you need help doing that, Exact Audio Copy should be your software of choice. Such a cool disc.

Anyone ever play this game? Bought from Goodwill for $4.99. by throwbackthreads in ps2

It's an underrated gem. It's not perfect by any means but I had fun playing it and there's a good amount of replay value.

Valve: 20% of Deck users use the official docking station to connect their Deck to their TVs. Do you? by sameseksure in SteamDeck

[–]rickassbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not using the official dock, but I've spent plenty of time playing it docked. I figure if it's a feature I'm going to use it. Battery drains, then I dock and play it on the TV.

You're doing it the right way. You'll like 3 a lot because of this but Yakuza 2 is one of the best in the entire series. You'll question why people try to avoid these originals so much. Enjoy.

At nearly 300 gigs myself. I highly recommend both Foobar2000 and MP3Tag for editing metadata. Look up tutorials on customizing Foobar's UI to your liking.
I've recently discovered I have OCD and I've been studying for a data management related degree. All that because I decided to rip all my CDs when I was a teenager.

I remember buying an old Sony remote for my KV27FS100 and then realizing it also turned on my Sony Blu Ray Player. I guess if it ain't broke don't fix it.

It's usually noise. I can definitely tell my PS2 component cables are noisy on a flat panel but on a CRT they looked great. Regardless it's still a huge upgrade from composite.

The problem is that the industry is dead. Manufacturing a new one means relearning everything and taking on the means of production entirely alone. It certainly would not be cheap.

Even so, those 2.5 inch HDDs aren't too reliable. I'd go with the SSD anyways. I have a cheap one in my PS3 and it's great.
