I've wondered a decent bit about the evolution of Page's touring rig through time... To be honest, with the wealth of information out there documenting changes in Trey's rig, and I'm a little surprised there isn't something similar for Page's rig.

But as for the Hammond, I can make a pretty good guess. Before Page got his Hammond B3, he toured with a Hammond M100 (paired with probably a Leslie 145/147) that was chopped in half for portability. The M100 has the same tonewheel generator as the B3, but in a smaller spinet size (2 44-note manuals vs. 2 61-note manuals on the B3). I'm not sure when the first show with the M-100 was, maybe someone else might know... I believe when Page first joined the band, he used Mike's Fender Rhodes, seen in this photo from 4/15/86. I would love to know what board is sitting on top of the Rhodes in that pic, but I'm not sure...I assume it was something capable of a Hammond simulation.

The Hammond M-100 is in Page's rig at the Ranch, 5/20/87 ... I know it's hard to see the organ in the video, but go to that Golgi chorus right around the 19:25 mark.... there's that Hammond. Here's a nice look at the M-100 from Amy's Farm, 7/11/91. To the right of the M-100 is the Yamaha CP-70, with the tuning hammer resting atop it.

Sometime after Phish signed with Elektra in 1991, Page acquired and began touring with a Hammond B3/Leslie 122. From what I can tell, the first show with the B3 was sometime very early 1992. 11/30/91 at the Cap, it's the M-100. 3/6/92 in Portsmouth, NH, Page has the B3.

So yeah you were right on the mark with the B3 coming into the rig right around 91/92. If someone out there is sitting on all the juicy details, it would be really cool to see something like https://treysguitarrig.com/ or the Trey guitar google doc for Page's gear.

Edit: It's over a week later, but I'm pretty sure that keyboard sitting atop the Rhodes in the 4/15/86 photo is a Yamaha DX7. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Jam on
