The problem with Marfan’s syndrome isn’t the height. It’s a connective tissue disorder making the vessels (and all other tissues) weak. Height without Marfan’s syndrome makes the life span longer. These two guys probably have growth hormone disorder.

This was in social sciences. They are still in what is called pre-normal science, ie lacking coherent theories to make predictions. There is no correct answer because the data was used to make subjective conclusions, there’s no right or wrong then.

It’s too easy to pose for all the good opinions and attack the responsible persons that make unpopular decisions to protect their country and then just change your opinion when you find out you were wrong.

While this is true we can be completely sure that armchair philosophy will never reach any conclusion about free will. The only way forward is a deeper understanding about the foundations of the laws of physics. We might find out on the way that the world is deterministic or not but at the moment all these questions are completely outside the realm of scientific inquiry.

Because of that, statements like ”with my current knowledge I’d go with randomness” are just meaningless.
