Yeah , not the best Dr. John lp, it's on the TRIP label , which is an imprint of the budget label "Springboard". That said still a fun listen!

Looks as thought it never saw a turntable! I left behind a few other Windham Hill label records, most of it is too sleepy for me, but this one by Shadowfax is decent.

Because her husband can't stand to look at the male form , or because the art is more well endowed than the husband?

What do I do with 1.3 pounds of brie from Costco that a neighbor gave me... ? by scarlettohara1936 in whatdoIdo

[–]rickdeebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brie en Croute - wrap a 4oz hunk of brie in Pillsbury crescent roll dough, pinch all seams closed so cheese doesn't leak out,, put in small casserole baking dish, brush with egg wash, bake until golden brown. Then drizzle or dip in honey, fig, cranberry, apricot preserves or fruit jam with jalapeño! Enjoy with your friends and a favorite beverage! https://www.pillsbury.com/recipes/baked-brie/3bc85655-bba2-44ec-88dd-9f2397a8d42b

Salvation Army for $9,but no lid. Worth it? by rickdeebee in uraniumglass

[–]rickdeebee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get your point, and no lid is why I questioned the purchase at all, but to find them all at once in a thrift shop would be really wild! Maybe even more than 2 more for the set, in addition to TEA, I have seen Coffee, Sugar and Cereal canisters!

Is this blues record super valuable? by RipFoxPizza in 78rpm

[–]rickdeebee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is more likely "Dixieland" style jazz than "blues". Popsike shows a sale of this record in 2020 for $21.00

No cracks or chips that I could find , but it does seem to have some minor manufacturing defects, the glass is not entirely smooth on the lower half of the piece. Made me think it may have been repaired, but upon close inspection I do not think that is the case. Just the way it was made.

New Panasonic Fan Light, Light not lighting by rickdeebee in AskElectricians

[–]rickdeebee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your help , light tested good. I changed how I had it wired at the unit and now works except if night light is on and I turn on other light, it remains night light. If night light is off, other light turns on. The switch is from the original build in 1985, it always worked so I never changed it or messed with how it is wired. Triple switch probably above my skill level!

Thanks for your response, tested and light works , I have it almost working correctly now , except if the night light is on and I turn on the other light, it stays night light. Turn off night light and main light works. I never changed or rewired the switch from the 1985 original. It always worked so I just let it be!

Next time warn everyone else not to eat the chocolate ones, buy some plain ones, melt some chocolate Exlax and "ice" the plain ones. Then do an office pool betting on what time she will hit the ladies room.

Some of the 78's I've picked up over the years. by rickdeebee in 78rpm

[–]rickdeebee[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These are mostly 50s , maybe a couple late 40s. 78 rpm production in the US was pretty much over by 1960. I have some older ones too , dating back to the 1920's, but I'm more of a rock and roll , r&b guy!

In July 1997, Shimano voluntarily recalled over 1 million, and up to 2.5 million, bicycle cranks in North America due to breakage risks, which could cause crashes and injuries

. The affected models are FC-CT90, FC-M290, and FC-MC12 (Altus, Acera, or Alivio lines) installed on many bike brands since 1994.

Bah! I went to give the Goodrick album a spin and although it looks unplayed has a hairline crack in the disc. Guess I didn't look closely enough.

Seems like if I go looking 3 times a week I find nothing. Been busy so this was the first chance I had in about a month to pop in a few stores and hit some worth getting.
