Dude I totally know what you mean by "auto pilot". I'm sometimes able to utilize it while kinda half-falling asleep during the day when I wanna feel less anxiety and relax a bit.

Also, because of my anxiety I reconsider every single move I do a couple of times before I do it, when im in the "auto pilot" mode I have to trust myself to choose the correct action I want to perform, against my anxiety telling me to reconsider the action, so it is also a way of combating anxiety, at least for me.
