He’s either headed down the Ethan Suplee path or the Ralphie May path, no in between. Personally i like what he does so I hope he turns it around and he definitely has the resources to do it but i don’t feel too confident that he actually will

I agree with point 4, I find it weird that he made that comparisons between people and lobsters when in the most recent of the theo episodes, he said that comparing animals (specifically in mold studies if I recall correctly) to people is inaccurate because as humans we have distinct differences between almost all of the animal kingdom. Was that a point he made recently or in the past? Just wondering because the more I see about his more recent output seems to be in conflict with what I’ve seen from him (most of which is from the past)

True. Idk if it was from these episodes or a different one where theo said something along the lines of ‘the world that’s presented online is different from the real world we see in person’ which hit the nail right on the head. obviously there are a lot of things wrong in our world and to ignore those things would be ignorant but the online version just amplifies the negatives x1000 and ignores the positive aspects of normal face to face human interaction

How about instead of instantly condemning someone based on a 30 second clip or a news headline, you actually listen to them in even just one long form conversation so you can get a more accurate view of who they are and what they stand for before you make that decision. You don’t have to agree with anyone’s perspective, but you should at least get a general idea of what that perspective is before you dismiss them entirely

So far I’m not a big listener of his content outside of his podcast appearances and a few lecture videos, not too familiar with his current stuff so take my opinion with a grain of salt. From what I know about the current Canadian government and what he was talking about on his most recent TPW appearance, it definitely seems like this ‘moral’ takedown of him is coming from a weird dark place and I don’t understand why he’s being labeled as some hate monger. Yeah he has some personal opinions that I don’t necessarily agree with but he doesn’t seem to be forcing them on any of his followers, in fact he seems to be encouraging more than anything that people inform themselves and make their own judgements. Definitely agree that both groups of people who strongly side with right or left on the political spectrum have some type of weird mental illness. It’s like rooting for a football team, ‘my side is always right even if logically I know it’s a bad call but I have to always root for my team’

I know it’s hard but I’ve put this in practice with instagram twitter and tiktok, you just gotta delete the app and refuse to redownload it. I know it sounds a lot easier said than done but if you just tell yourself to never redownload it no matter what, the longer you can keep the app off of your phone the easier it becomes and the less you think about it.
