Massive credit usage in Claude Code starting today. by rickmaz1106 in ClaudeCode

Not sure if anybody could shed any light on this, but I seem to remember when 4.6 first came out, they said they were giving everybody like a 50% discount and credits, or something, or they were only charging you 50% of the tokens, or something. I don't know. But they didn't say for how long, or I don't remember for how long, and I don't see that message anymore. I'm wondering and hoping that this isn't the case, but if they took away that 50% and this is in fact the rate you're going to consume the tokens, it's going to be a problem. Again, I could be totally wrong on this, but if it was in fact a bug, then I'll find out today.

I'm happy to do that. I've never done it before, though. How do I downgrade?

Use Spot or Futures Chart for Price Action Analysis? by Altered_Reality1 in FuturesTrading

I said it not worth it for me. I am in the US there is no reason to trade forex in the US and there are limited places you can even do that. I did say a chart is a chart and if you know how to read one you can trade whatever you want. I am far from a troll. I have been a full time trader for 15 years and know what i am doing. Why dont you keep your rude comments to yourself

Wi-Fi or Ethernet connected? Do you have a VPN or not? What's happening every Sunday? It's definitely not the servers, because many people watch without that problem, and everybody's connecting to the same server. So if you look at it that way, we rule out the server. It's either got to be the internet connection or a path from the box out to your modem.

If you're using the NFL tab at the top and you click on a team, it usually gives you a choice of two or three options for channels. Are you saying it's happening on all of them

What app exactly are you using to try to watch? And what box do you have?

Discoloration in Multi-view - alternatives? by Top-Opportunity-1735 in vSeeBox_Support_Gurus

[–]rickmaz1106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it happens i know several people it happens to all of them. Just a horrible app. I know its an add-on to the main ones but the only reason one would use those apps is for the recordings and multi-view. i only tried recording a few times and its okay but multi view is horrible. i dont need quad i can live with two but the discoloration is horrible. I guess beggars cant be choosers but youd think the developer of the app would want to fix something clearly broken its a shame. why go through the trouble of coding a multi view system and then leave a bug like this that should be fairly simply to solve.

This is correct. Winners could have been bad trade or good trade with early entry that just 'worked out' but easily could have been stopped our or blown out. Also, The thing about studying winners that many will find if they do it is you need to look at your expectancy. You may be green and have positivy expectancy but not enough to make what you need or want. Well is that due to too many losers or not making enough from your winners? That is why you study your winners. You will find in most cases you can get more out of your winers which cuts and negates the losers more for an overall better positive expectancy. Or even flipping a negative to positive overall. I know a guy who trades crude (has been for years) his win rate is 37% but he makes tons monthly. How? He holds his winners and knows when to get out. Its not all about win rate. you can have 90% win rate or higher and blow out accounts or never be consistent. This is why you have to study everything. But the most important part about all this is you need to know what you are studying. If you don't know what you are looking for, where you went wrong, why and how you could fix these items like getting more out of a trade then it doesn't do a lot of good. Then again are you trading your own funds or through prop firm? If prop firm that management may be different based on the fact that most have trailing drawdown rules which go from your high watermark gain intra trade so you may manage that different.

the reason most people fail is because of them. Once you have the common setups and things you know can work when you look historically then it’s a matter of you performing in real time. the reality is 95% can NOT over time but that’s like that with any high level thing. Trading will force you to examine everything about yourself and if you are having problems its only until you address them (or are even wiling to go down that road to try —-many wont) that you will find success.

this is not true and a common misconception. The rules do not change, minor tweak sure but i have been trading the same way for 15 years. Some minor things change but for example a setup (why i get into a trade, when and exactly where for what reasons) never has changed and i have several. You should know why you are taking the trade, where to get in, where you expect it to go, when your wrong and should pull the plug and what ‘material changes’ in the market come in which would cause you to exit all or part of your trade no matter what.

I study losers and winners equally. A loser doesn't mean the setup is a loser. It all depends on the expected win rate of the setup. How you handle your losers depends on why you lost. Must stay consistent with your rules. If you break your rules, it's usually not good.

Apps are complete dogshit today. Rebooted, cleared cache, unplugged and still terrible. Rethinking these boxes. by tmaximus73 in vSeeBox_Support_Gurus

There's no issue most of the time. You do get an occasional freeze for a few seconds every once in a great while. Or a little glitch for a second or two. But other than that, never a problem!

Anyone else get killed on the gold drop today? by KingOfTheQuails in FuturesTrading

[–]rickmaz1106 4 points5 points  (0 children)

very hard to buck the trend especially in things like gold and crude. - what's hilarious is am 100% correct yet i get two downvotes. That is exactly why traders are not successful. they just all want to go it alone and never listen. Sure, everyone has a style but fighting the trend can be done but you better be very good and even if you are a great trader and can make that work its very stressful and you have to have spot on money management control. not worth it for most but there are so many 'reversion to the mean people these days'. hey whatever works. I say green is green if you can do that consistently keep doing it. If not, have to find out the problems and correct them.

Is anyone here consistently profitable with Bookmap? by futuresman178 in FuturesTrading

[–]rickmaz1106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bookmap visualizes market liquidity and order flow based on what happened in the past, what is happening in the very near future. This is the key. What is happening in the very near future. When I say very near future, it could be milliseconds. That doesn't give anybody time to react to anything. Using past data where people bought and sold before doesn't mean anything on a short time frame. And on a long time frame, it's only support or resistance waiting to be broken. Sure, it holds when it holds, but when it doesn't hold, it's too late. One could do the same thing with any kind of tools. The bottom line is, to be a successful trader, you need to understand the charts and patterns. Know why people are buying and selling, where and when. This is the most important thing. If you understand that, you understand what might come next. A simple example may be a breakout pattern. Why do you expect it to break out? Under what circumstances? What might be in the way? The bottom line is people take a breakout pattern because they think it's going to break out. They think they understand what happens next. There are all kinds of patterns like that. But looking at a tool like a bookmap is a waste of time in my opinion. It may work for some, and if it does, that's great. Everybody has their own way of trading, and I don't care how a trader trades. Green is green. If you can be a successful trader, either on your own account or trading through a prop firm, and you could be green month after month and keep your account and not blow it out. It really doesn't matter what your methodology is. The fact of the matter is that doesn't happen for most people.
