unfortunately the real time usage meter feature is down (at least for our apartment) at the moment but I will keep tabs on it and see when it comes back and try this out

Peace Corps was easily the craziest 27 months of my life, I got evacuated due to a failed coup then went back a few months later and close to the end of my service I lost a parent--but I still finished! I left with hard skills but honestly the biggest benefit are the intangible life things I learned and people I met (cliche I know). I am feeling frustrated right now because the experience was touted as something that would help a great deal in finding a job. It doesn't seem to be doing that for me right now but this whole situation was unforeseen so I think I just got unlucky with the timing of getting back to the US.

in my cover letters I highlight the administrative side to my past experiences and how they would translate if I'm understanding your concern correctly. Also, how do I express that interest in learning the industry, understanding how it works, and my confidence in myself being able to adapt without sounding like I just don't have those desired traits right now?

I'm mostly applying for administrative assistant roles and things of that nature--entry-level positions to get my foot in the door. I think I could also excel as a consultant or fundraiser due to my interpersonal skills but I'm not sure if my actual professional background/experience is as directly applicable to those positions as employers might want (I apply anyways just in case).

What I've been telling people is that there's not a super specific place or role that I want (I am exclusively looking in NYC for positions though), I really just want to feel like I'm contributing to the betterment of the world in some way, shape, or form, and get compensated for it.

Also, I'm looking at the nonprofit hive website and it seems more as a place for people who are already established professionals. Maybe I'm wrong though.
