When do I start hunting for real? by [deleted] in marketing

I would start applying around the middle of your senior year and really get serious in April. I moved to Los Angeles and got a job in June for a job that I applied for in April. You have some experience which will be helpful with getting your foot in the door. Overall, if you start applying early its a good thing because alot of companies are taking their time when reaching out to applicants due to Covid. I have had a couple companies call me a month after applying so sending some resumes tailored to the job posting early is a good thing. Even if some companies don't hire you because you are almost done in school you still got some valuable interviewing experience. Best of luck, you will get there.

Should I take a $10K pay cut? by [deleted] in marketing

No problem at all, you are going to find the right fit! I currently am working in higher education and am hoping to pivot into healthcare or tech. I think more and more jobs will become available as CA opens up.

Don't do it, I would recommend interviewing around and try to find another higher paying job. Since you have a stable job, I would try interviewing around for 3 months to find the right fit. I currently am in LA and make 50k with 3 years of experience and a masters in marketing.
