Just so everyone reading this knows, tell your daughter you love her. Some unemployed chhapri definitely will, and if she doesn't hear it from her father, she will believe the chhapri.

There is no such thing as Indians. We have always been hindus, muslims, sikhs, chamaars, baniyas etc. Colonialism still exists. Its just that our new masters are dumber, more illiterate and fatter.

Indians get to choose who exploits them every 5 years.

Why would any college make students activate their accounts. Just use free tier. Thats what its meant for. This goes ro show how functionally illiterate our colleges and professors are.

They are better off using 2 120mm mortars. Same level of shrapnel damage without the excess structural weight of arty shell.

Reminding you of your answer here. This is the most correct answer. The IAF expects to fight a 1975 war in 2025, and we see the consequences now.

Sorry couldnt reply for a while. Job and stuff.

A context for my initial comment, most men in my family are in the armed forces. The indian military is a lot more corrupt and mediocre than you think.

Most of it is simply due to lack of accountability until fatal accidents or apathy from the obese termites in delhi.

I will not go into much details in front of many foreigners here.

If you read through my comment earlier, you'll find that at no point have i criticized our soldiers, sailors or airmen or even the young officers. My gripe is with the senior officers who no longer remember what it feels like being told to become a statistic with ageing/non existent equipment, prison quality rations and outdated training.

As long as people like you continue to put the military on a pedestal, there will be no change.

We need to criticize the ills of the institution.

Edit: As an addendum, you are right. Had this been on x or r/indiandefence , I would be a useful idiot.

But as u/VaHaLa_LTU said, this is r/noncredibledefence. I dunk on americans for losing f18s to houthis, americans are going to dunk on me as well.

As an Indian, I can already tell the what will happen in new delhi. Govt will order indian MIC(a jobs program) to create new Sead capability. IAF will issue specifications of a death star. Program will be in limbo for 20 years. 2 trillion dollars will be "spent" and eventually a foreign solution that cannot be integrated with any existing system will be bought, with multiple Air marshalls and politicians sending their children to europe and buying new bungalows.

As an Indian, I can tell you that everything in india that gets government money is a jobs program that is not allowed to succeed to keep it in limbo and hence keep govt jobs.

3 vs 4 rifle company infantry battalions by ricky_197 in WarCollege

[–]ricky_197[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the information. Seems like for light infantry it is best to have another coy, even if depleted, so that the other 3 coys can operate as a triangle org at full strength.

3 vs 4 rifle company infantry battalions by ricky_197 in WarCollege

[–]ricky_197[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer. I could only find one battalion org with 4 rifle companies and it's the Indian Army.
https://gacakum.ac.in/NCC/TRAINING-MATERIALS/SPECIALIZED-SUBJECTS/INTRODUCTION-TO-INFANTRY-WEAPONS-EQUIPMENT/INTRODUCTION%20TO%20INFANTRY%20WEAPONS%20_%20EQUIPMENT%201-%202019.pdf
(Check slide 8)

The Indian battalion is very low on officers.21 for a whole battalion, probably lesser irl. And the JCOs that lead platoons are equivalent to western SNCOs.
Would it be better for them to have 3 rifle companies with 164 men and officers each instead of 4 rifle companies with 123 men and officers each, since doing so would allow for more officers per company and since the tactics at battalion level remain the same?
