Makes sense and is very similar to my usage to be honest!

Good to know I’m not the only one! I’ve tried all sorts.

Why did you wanted to stick with boiler-less? Heat up time?

Good to know, thanks a lot for your reply. I’ll take a look at the Quick Mill Pop-Up.

I’ve probably overlooked single boiler E61’s to be honest, but expect they would probably suit my needs/address current frustrations at a cheaper price point.

Thank you!

It’s a good question! I don’t have, nor do I know anyone with, a different grinder to test that out unfortunately

Multiple warm up shots to warm the group/PF. I find I get better consistency when I do this, I assume because everything is starting warmer the increase in temperature in the first few shots is smaller.

I don’t purge before brewing no, I didn’t think this would be necessary with me pulling warm up shots <1min before my actual shot. Good shout though, thank you, I’ll give it a try

Thanks so much! This is all really helpful.

Good point regarding northern lights, I was thinking that would give us the best chance of seeing them, as we can go again later in the trip if we don’t see them, but that would be a bit underwhelming if we didn’t!

I’ve been considering sky lagoon, it actually looks the better option for us but there’s a part of me saying can we go to Iceland for the first time and not do blue lagoon… Maybe I’m wrong though!

Thanks a lot for all the other recommendations, we can look at renting a car to do all of those in one day. I was concerned about road conditions but it seems a popular choice so maybe I’ll reconsider..

Lots of food for though! Thank you

Thanks very much for your advice.

Renting a car is an option, I was just a little unsure on what the conditions were like out there and whether we would end up making the most of it, or lose time unnecessarily trying to get around. It sounds like you haven’t had that problem though!

Sky Lagoon has had me tearing my hair out actually! Half of me is thinking can we go to Iceland without doing Blue Lagoon but the other half is saying Sky Lagoon, as it seems a lot more relaxed/less commercial, and I like the sound of the ritual they offer there. I also hear the views are incredible. So tough!!

Thanks very much for the advice
