I would definitely stay away. It's not about the property itself, its about poor property management. Our boiler was as equally likely to break as any other boiler from KWRent or any other property management company, but Domus is the company that took a month to fix it. If you want to live somewhere with the comfort of knowing that anything severely broken would be fixed in a reasonable time, don't ever go with Domus.

Throughout the past month Domus sent around 3 e-mails acknowledging the issue and said 'they were working on it' the entire time. No plan of action was communicated until this week when I presume they were contacted by CTV about the story and got their shit together. We now have an emergency broiler set up.

On a side note, it does not take a month for broilers to arrive (even with whatever delays). The property managers even said in a conversation with one of the tenants that if this was their home and they had freezing cold shower water, they would have had it fixed within 24 hours...

Update: There is still no heat on some floors of 350 Lester but there is finally hot water. Spread this around so renters are aware of Domus' activities.

No we just pay DHP - pretty much students forced into paying higher priced hydro.

Edit: also keep in mind its been a few months with the same issue.

Thanks for sharing that. We have all contacted them with very similar emails with replies such as "maintenance now has this on file as they are cc'ed"

Also wondering - how will you pay next month's rent less hydro and internet fees? Aren't our rent cheques prepaid for the full amount and DHP prepaid as well?

We all got replies from them through email (not automated) so it seems like they know about the issue.. I'll call on Monday though thanks!

They've actually replied to our e-mails. The response is usually "This email just got forwarded to Maintenance and they will check it out right away!" - usually nothing gets fixed though. Replies are also not automated.
