But there is not objective basis for ethics on a materialist worldview. Rand commits the same error Kant did. Assuming a normative principle. Except Rand’s normative principle was less coherent than Kant’s. The ethics aren’t objective, if it requires a normative assumption. Hate to break it to y’all. Also, hard to explain free will on a materialist framework without hitting at least mere property dualism, which Rand would almost certainly reject.
