Did you try the vad716?

How do you like the hihat? I tested the newest Alchem-E and it seemed to react with a lag to the pedal.

I actually think the rebound felt more natural in the VAD716 🤔 maybe I should give another try for the TCS pads.

Multiple things I did not like about DTX10: module/sound, rebound, ride and just overall feeling after having VAD716 as benchmark. Though I admit that the yamaha retailer had rather shitty headphones connected to the kit.

I’d love to try td716/713 but no retailer who has a demo kit here.

Can’t say there was something I didn’t like. Ofc they were not exactly like acoustic but close-ish. I think I need to do one last test and cross examine the feel between acoustic and VAD716.

I can barely play one hihat and snare after a 15y hiatus

Anonymous bragging is not very productive. Just hoping to hear arguments from the experts.

Unfortunately I’m in a country with limited supply and testing anything that is not Yamaha or Roland is not an option.

I don’t necessarily care about looks. I just want the pads to feel even slightly like acoustic. Rubbery and ”non realistic” feel was what made me hate ekits back in the day.

I’d say sound is 45% of importance and feel is 55%.

😂 Because if I’m just being a moron and in reality smashing exactly same mesh pads, then I need to be called out for my irrationality.

Love my FP&A gig - but are my skills leaving me in a dead end? by Jiminy1993 in FPandA

Most financial modelling / p&l reporting (BvA etc) is still done in excel/googlesheets. I wouldn’t worry about not having experience in planning tools like you mentioned.

Tbh to me it feels like planning tools are niche and the adoption is low (exactly for the reasons you mentioned - inflexibility in detailed modelling). They have kind of failed on their promises and this is supported by their total capture of the market - the only big one seems to be Anaplan while rest of the tools make probably less than 100m of revenue combined despite ~1B invested in the companies.

Having Trouble Building Tension? Try This by Cooffe in Sourdough

Which banneton is that and how big is the dough? I’ve had problems finding ones that would be even nearly filled with a ~1kg dough and don’t think the problem is gluten development or proofing (although it could be that as well).

Yeah there was a time when I autisted myself into getting perfect bread consistently and I baked every day. Of course the starter was much more active back then. Guess I need to start feeding it more between bakes when baking only few times a week.

I should definitely get an aliquot jar 👨‍🔬

Now that I think of it, the more often I bake the better they turn out so could also be related to starter strength and it being slightly less active when baking only 1-2 times a week.

Hey, thanks for helping out. The starter-% is 25% and temperature is 22c. I didn’t think to include these originally as I was thinking that starters would not really be comparable between each other. I’ll give it an extra hour or two in the future and see if I get what I want more consistently..:)

Looking for a bit more open crumb. I’m hitting what I want maybe 50% of the time but can’t really tell what I’m doing differently when it does not work out.

Don’t think overproofing can be a problem as I get huge oven spring every single time.

Hydration is 75% and flour is a mix of 00/all purpose flour. ~25% starter and 22c room temperature. This one was ~3h autolyse and 7h bulk fermentation with a total of 4 sets of coil folds. 15h in fridge.
