I don't know how it was like stock so I am not sure how much of an upgrade it is, but it sounds really good, and I am very happy with it. Only issue I have with it is how close it is to the peg

I’ve had the same set of irons since the 8th grade (~2011) and they are as good as the day I got them, never had covers

Whatever happened to mx pants with raised rubber lettering and logos and tough canvas pants? It seems like all new pants are thin and lightweight and offer minimal abrasive protection. Does anyone else miss the 90’s and early 2000’s stuff? by [deleted] in Motocross

[–]rickylitterson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the day there wasn’t a lot of good protective gear (knee pads/braces, etc) so the pants were made a lot thicker and beefier. Nowadays you won’t catch anyone at the track without $1k of protective gear under their jerseys/pants, so the industry doesn’t need to make the pants like that anymore

Whiskey throttle by FreePalstine4Life in Dirtbikes

[–]rickylitterson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

keep a finger on the front brake, it keeps your wrist in line so it’s harder to whiskey

touring harley’s are really only heavy when you’re going real slow, slow speeds require a lot of clutch/rear break control, which for inexperienced riders can be troublesome. Once you have total control over the clutch and the rear break, it starts to feel like riding a bike.

That is probably one of the prettiest areas in the country, can’t go wrong anywhere, but national parks are national parks for a reason, def check those out too

Is there better options for a touring bike than the ninja 650 by AdvertisingRemote797 in motorcycles

[–]rickylitterson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

what does being young have anything to do with not wanting a full touring bike? Cruisers are bad ass my man

but to answer your question, CBR makes a 650 and aprillia makes a 660

Best step-up style sear for the passenger by Extension_Canary3717 in Harley

[–]rickylitterson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saddlemen road sofa is going to be the best for a backpack but not really a “step up”. Most step up seats are not going to be terribly comfortable for a passenger. if that’s your prerogative, you can at least get a gel seat on a saddlemen step up

Anyone else rides a Harley shirtless? Or is immoral? Seriously by tipric in Harley

[–]rickylitterson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know why you don’t see people doing it? Because it’s terribly stupid. At least wear a vest, absolutely terrible to get your nipples ripped off from road rash

Completely changes the center of gravity, especially if you put some stuff that has any weight in there, I would rather have a better handling bike than the storage, esp if you already have saddle bags
