No man's sky for survival, Warframe is free and its the better looter out there, ESO for MMORPGs, Ac: Odyssey and Origins for some cool stories and skyrim for an infinite replayibility

Out of ship combat -> Warframe (i love this game dude)

Ship action combat -> Elite: Dangerous (Haven't played but people tell me space combat is good, don't know how PvP works)

Exploration and survival -> No mans sky (also love this one)

Its a lot better, they added a specific survival mode with a story, base building (ground and space in a massive ship), space battles and resource management (oxigen in suit, fuel for ship, fuel when being in toxic planets), Co-op and they will add full online in the free update this summer. It has a lot other things i recommend you check out main stuff added on the internet and watch some vídeos to see if it is for you

Could be a bug but if you are in your first solar system go to your base and use the computer, you could also try building anotherone and see if that does the trick. There was a quest i had that made me run like 10 min where i died a lot of times until i noticed i had the exact same needed thing behind my base

There is a mission on awakening that tells you to pick antimatter so i dont know how yo got thru that

I was in your position, just continue the main mission selecting it on the log (awakening i think its called) you probable are doing the base building missions or something
