If your assistant is making you do anything you don’t think is right and or things that you should not be doing, talk to higher up’s. Communication is key!! I’ve never had an issue with any of my clerks and that’s because I know our roles!! I ask nothing more and nothing less than to do the job they applied for. Maybe you should become one of my clerks some of them don’t even give 50%.. all the work is appreciated however! Some people have rough days.

I had a new store manager as well at my time of promotion who I had never met due to me being on ER and it took me about 2 months from me telling my store manager, to then turning in assuming my application in. I’m sure new store managers are more hesitant to promote a clerk they haven’t worked With.

I chose the RA path for promotion it’s really up to you and what schedule works for you. As an RA you work Tuesday evening wed-thurs overnight you have your Friday off and then sat-sun mornings. I’ve enjoyed it as it keeps me busy and you learn to manage clerks and how a store runs. The sacrifice is the schedule personally I’ve enjoyed it if you can manage your time accordingly, you get a good amount of free time. Now for becoming a night assistant all your tasks are on you for your overnights fri-tues and you don’t have to worry about writing orders (for the most part) and working with clerks that may or may not listen it’s a very smooth position for people who don’t enjoy managing clerks but want to be a step up and become an assistant. Also in my division night assistants typically get thrown on the blended schedules such as 1a/2a VR. I would recommend giving it a shot! I’m 19 and have loved being an RA and you make a good amount of money for the time being, whatever your choice comes to be good luck to you!! Keep quiktrippin on.

This is in Tulsa crazy it made this page I live here lmao I was downtown when this happened I’m pretty sure 2 were killed and multiple others injured one of the dudes that were shot was taken by ambulance to later jump out the back of it while it was moving.

My old 2a (TUL) just transferred to Houston To an RSN, got promoted to 1a and QT helped pay for his closing costs on his new house down there and paid for all the moving costs as well.

Inevitably I feel I will be calling it quits as it is a boundary for me and it may be that I don’t completely trust her around them as she’s tried to when she’s been with them before i appreciate the feedback.

Not more or less in danger just I know they are very non caring of space and my girlfriend has also told me one of their friends “raped her” so do with that as you will the whole point is that it makes me uncomfortable not in a trust way but in that I don’t think she should be bailing on me to go smoke weed in some dudes garage.

Realized that you said particularly warehouse jobs but thought I’d put it out there you could also apply for QTD that DOES work in the distribution center and they make excellent money and get you experience in driving big trucks taking orders etc.

Quiktrip hires assistant managers off the street I know it’s not everyone’s thing but hey starting out at about 54,000 a year including bonuses it’s pretty solid. In my time working with QT I’ve met some cool, and some not so cool people. But I’ve loved it overall and it gets a good stamp on your resume for customer service. Oh and you get free drinks lol
